My current Display Cabinet

Here is my Display Cabinet at Home

(December 2010) This cabinet was older than me

I renovated this last 2009 by adding mirror as a background to the top shelve to make illusions that can double my collections
And because it can be easily reached by kids I purchased a lock to protect it.
My model airport NAIA T3 (Unfinished) is located on the ground shelve.
My estimated Width of my Cabinet is 7ft with the height of around 4ft.

My current Display Cabinet as of today (2011)
as you can see some of my planes are now inside the box I do this normally every February to October to protect my planes from the severe heat during the summer months.

Philippine Airlines Boeing 777-36N/ER (RP-C7777)

This is my newest and my first 777 in 1/500 scale

I really like this model because of its good details on the fuselage and the wheels are rolling!
But like any other model there is not so perfect replica of the actual aircraft.
I notice some problems like the missing emergency exit strips located in front of the 2 exit doors in the wings and the 7777 sign printed in the front landing gear is wrong it must be 777 not 7777.

A year before Herpa released a PAL 7773ER but after the unveiling of the actual aircraft some are disappointed because the title of the airline "Philippines" was located in wrong Position and the text was to small. It was very different with the actual aircraft.

This model was made by PPC and it is available in-flight at Philippine Airlines however there are some local hobby shop in the Philippines selling it for P1,500.

I would like also to thank bleuewin of Pinoy Exchange.com for helping me to get my PAL 777.

F.Y.I.

RP-C7777, a Boeing 777-300 was the first 777 aircraft of Philippine Airlines and it was also the first Philippine Airline Company to have this kind of Aircraft.
PAL currently have 2 7773ER on their fleet RP-C7777 and RP-C7776 all was leased from GECAS.

Customizing a Cebu Pacific Air, In-flight souvenir Airplane

We all know that this type of souvenir from Cebu Pacific is not really a detailed or diecast quality that most Airplane Model Collectors, like me. wants this kind of Airplane Souvenir some said that is only a waste of Money, Because you can purchase this for only 500 pesos only or around 10-12 USD.
Before I start collecting 1:500 Planes I already have this, 2 Cebu Pacific Air A320, Souvenir Plane, which I bought on my First flight. I decided to make a Custom design on my one of my Cebu Pacific Souvenir Plane.
At First I use an Aluminum foil on the wings, it is very hard to make the aluminum foil flat, I use cotton buds and cotton to rub on the surface of the aluminum foil.

And on Second I paint white in the middle of yellow and orange in the body of the aircraft I used scotch tape to make the white line straight. I am not still finish in this one I have to add landing gears and orange paint on the belly of the plane.

Now You can see the Pictures below, the before and after.
The first Airplane is the original souvenir and the second is the one that I customized.

Here is our Finish Model:
